BVNK and Marqeta have announced a partnership to add stablecoin payments to cards and wallets. The new service will allow companies to offer stablecoin-backed cards that can be used at millions of merchants worldwide. BVNK provides stablecoin infrastructure for businesses. Marqeta provides technology for issuing payment cards.

Under the partnership, BVNK will handle stablecoins, while Marqeta will manage cards, payment acceptance, and relationships with banks and payment networks. The partnership also connects the two companies through Mastercard. Marqeta already works with Mastercard, while BVNK became part of Mastercard after the company acquired its stablecoin business in August 2026.

Mastercard, Marqeta, and BVNK also support Open USD, a standard designed to make stablecoin payments easier to use across different networks and providers.
