Avera supports authorized recovery efforts and the distribution of recovered digital assets to verified victims.

AveraDAO today announced its role in supporting authorized recovery programs following international investigations into large-scale cryptocurrency fraud operations spanning North America, Europe, Australia and other jurisdictions.

The investigations have resulted in the recovery and securing of approximately $86 million in stolen cryptocurrency, while investigators have traced an additional $242 million in digital assets believed to be connected to individuals and networks under investigation.

The cases involve several suspected cryptocurrency fraud operations, including Windbrown, Worldtradecenter, Interabrokers, Wizecapital, Finixcapital, Askobid, Europemarkets, Commercewealth, Profitix and Activebrokerz, among others.

According to information associated with the investigations:

    * $86 million in cryptocurrency has been recovered and secured.

    * Multiple suspects have been identified and arrested, with criminal proceedings underway.

    * Additional individuals remain under investigation.

    * More than $242 million in additional assets have been traced as authorities continue pursuing further suspects and potential seizures.

Following the Money on the Blockchain

The investigations demonstrate how blockchain analysis can be used to trace cryptocurrency movements across wallets, exchanges and international networks.

By combining blockchain intelligence with financial investigations, intelligence sharing and judicial cooperation, investigators can identify transaction patterns, connect digital wallets to real-world activity and pursue assets believed to have been obtained through fraud.

“This is more than an asset recovery — it is accountability,” said a spokesperson for Avera. “Cryptocurrency fraud networks can operate across borders, but blockchain transactions can also provide investigators with a trail. Our role is to support legitimate recovery efforts and help create a clearer path from recovered assets to verified victims.”

    Supporting Victim Restitution

Recovering cryptocurrency is only the first stage of the process. Once assets are lawfully recovered, victims must be identified, claims verified and appropriate distribution procedures established.

Avera is designed to support authorized recovery programs through infrastructure for victim verification, recovery tracking, transparent distribution and digital records associated with verified losses.

The goal is to provide greater visibility throughout the recovery process while helping authorized administrators manage verified claims and recovered assets.

    Protecting Victims From Recovery Scams

Avera also warns victims to remain cautious of secondary recovery scams.

Fraudsters frequently target previous victims by claiming they can recover stolen cryptocurrency in exchange for an upfront payment, tax, processing fee or cryptocurrency transfer.

Avera will never require a victim to send cryptocurrency or wire money simply to “unlock” or “process” a legitimate recovery claim.

Victims should verify recovery communications independently and rely on official information from the relevant authorities or authorized recovery program.

    Further Investigations Underway

With approximately $242 million in additional assets traced, investigations remain active and further enforcement actions may follow as authorities continue examining the movement of funds and the individuals connected to the networks.

Avera stated that it remains committed to supporting legitimate government and authorized recovery initiatives focused on transparency, victim protection and the lawful return of recovered digital assets.

“For victims, recovery can be possible. For perpetrators, the message is clear: digital assets are traceable,” the spokesperson added.
